The Beringen slag heap is a living reminder of Limburg's rich coal mining past. What used to be a heap of rubbish heaped stones is now a hill where bushes and clearings alternate... And best of all: a permanent mountain bike trail has been created where recreational users can enjoy themselves on the green loop and the advanced ones will certainly find what they are looking for on the challenging red loop. The mountain bike park on the Be-Mine slag heap, also known as the Adventure Mountain, is a unique bike park. For many off-road enthusiasts, this is an unexplored cycling opportunity.
