Martens Cheese Master

After his training at the hotel school in Antwerp, cheese master Dirk Martens became completely enamored with cheese. In 1980, he opened a cheese shop in Deurne, and since 1995, you can find him in a beautiful establishment on the Turnhoutsebaan in Schilde.

Dirk Martens has a fondness for Italian quality cheeses, usually farm-made, prepared with raw milk and imported directly. In winter, you can buy up to 80 different Italian cheeses here. For the tastiest French cheeses, Dirk regularly ventures to the early market of Rungis, near Paris. Recently, he has also developed several cheese creations based on cheeses aged with beer.

In his quest for the best, tastiest products, this also driven former chairman of Slow Food - Flanders, a movement that promotes small-scale and fair food, translates this story into his business with unlimited passion for flavor. So, nothing but top cheeses in the display, authentic in terms of taste and origin.
