This imposing building dates back to 1879. It's built in neo-baroque style - look at the many columns.
The financial and legal services of the Dinant-Philippeville district are provided from this building. A little further on is the Dinant prison, the smallest in Wallonia with 32 inmates.
At the top of the facade is Themis, a mythological Greek woman, daughter of Uranus and Gaea, who ruled over oracles such as the famous Delphic . He taught mankind the laws of justice and morality. She's so loud here that her voice can hardly be heard nowadays...
