Description

This is the fifth scene of the works of Joseph Gillain, known as Jijé , on the avenue to the Chapel of Our Lady of Haurt.

It shows Mary with the dying Jesus on the cross.

A common sorrow depicted is the Pieta (Italian: Pietà ), a depiction of the Blessed Virgin with the body of her deceased Son on her lap.
