Plaine Sapin
Important drop zone of the secret army during World War II.
In 1944, residents of the villages of Bonsin and surrounding areas participated in the resistance in Belgium. Between April and September 1944, ammunition and men were dropped here at night for the secret army. A monument was erected in 1946 in memory of the people who fought for our freedom. An annual military ceremony takes place in September.
