On the site of the beguinage "delle tour" founded in the 14th century and abolished in 1642, against the disappeared monastery of the Gray Nuns or Récollectines, a former refuge of the Abbey of Malonne was built around 1760.
The episcopal palace has been expanded since the beginning of the 19th century by Monsignor Pisani de la Gaude with a wing for the secretariat, a large salon and several outbuildings. To replace the previous one, a neo-Gothic chapel was built, completely painted and dated 1859.
Preceded by a paved courtyard , enclosed on the street side by a high wall, this very beautiful U-shaped mansion in brick and limestone in Louis XV style, plastered and painted. The main building has a curved pediment with the motto "Benevole et fortiter" and the coat of arms of Abbé Bonvoisin.
