The image of the church square is enhanced by the presence of a remarkable monument dedicated to the victims of the two wars, flanked by a howitzer from 14-18. The war memorial commemorates the military and civilian victims of the First and Second World Wars. The text on the monument reads: "AUX / ENFANTS / DE LA / COMMUNE / DE / BOVIGNY / MORTS / POUR / LA / PATRIE". This monument was designed by architect Joseph Loutschen and executed by stonemason Jos. Marechal. It was inaugurated on September 11, 1921.
Next to the monument stands a German 17cm trench mortar.
During the Battle of the Bulge, the village was stubbornly defended by American troops.
