The Kingpin mural (inside the restaurant)
Jan Poncelet created this mural for 'Blend by Rauw', the excellent barbecue restaurant of chef Fabio Istoczak that brings street food to Hasselt.
The 'Kingpin mural' perfectly matches the branding and vibe of the restaurant. Chef Fabio is at the center of the wall, surrounded by characters from films such as 'The Godfather', 'Goodfellas', 'Pulp Fiction', 'Scarface', 'The Untouchables', and 'Leon'.
The work was updated in April 2024 with the character of Thomas Shelby from 'Peaky Blinders' and the logo of Blend. The bullet holes in the logo were an idea of chef Fabio. The character from 'The Godfather' was also refreshed.
