Along the Promenade d'Orléans , four small rustic bridges span the Sauvenière River. The bridges are named after a painter .
The third bridge is dedicated to Edmond Xhrouet (1881-1954). This landscape artist from Spa was also a chemist, decorator, teacher and then director of the Spa Academy. He was nicknamed "potiquet" to distinguish him from the other Xhrouets from Spa and because he wandered all over the city of Spa with his pots, brushes and colours.
His palette and style are energetic. He took part in the Spa Fine Arts Exhibition in 1903, 1910 and 1911. He was the son-in-law of Alfred Ledin (Spa, 1846-1913), also a talented painter.
