There was a time when Belgium was looking for workers worldwide for coal mining and heavy industry. In 1946, the management of the Boël factories built a barracks camp for Italian guest workers. Now there is an Immigration Interpretation Center, a museum where you can visit some of these barracks for free. There is a café-restaurant with a large terrace. You can rent an electric boat there.
