Description

Medebach is located at the foot of the Rothaar Mountains. Medebach is a Hanseatic city. Hanseatic cities are members of the Hanseatic League, which was originally a cooperative organization of German cities around the Baltic Sea. Later, cities from other areas joined as well. The large Hanseatic cities sought contact with smaller villages and towns in their hinterland, such as Medebach, for trade. Medebach is a town of about 8000 inhabitants with a number of beautiful gems of half-timbered houses.
