The Kurtheater Hennef was built in 1938. In addition to the already closed Central and Parklichtspiele movie theaters on Frankfurter Straße, it is the first and last of what used to be three cinemas in Hennef. The building is a listed building and has 195 seats.
Since 2003, the cinema has been run by the "Association of Friends and Patrons of the Kur-Theater Hennef e. V.". In addition to films, it is also used for cabaret, music and other events.
