The Heinrich Heine School in Heikendorf is a secondary school under the sponsorship of the Plön district. It is an open all-day school and offers its students a learning program beyond the regular curriculum.
At the beginning of the school year 1973/74, the secondary school was able to start operations in the facilities of the first construction phase with 386 students and 17 teachers. The official inauguration took place on November 29, 1973.
