The ruins of Drachenfels Castle are a defunct spur castle on the mountain spur "Drachenfels" near the district Chursdorf of the town of Penig in the district of Mittelsachsen in Saxony.
It is likely that the founding of the village of Chursdorf in the valley of the Chursdorf stream originated from the castle, which was first mentioned in 1212 as the seat of the lords of Drachenfels. Nothing certain is known about the historical development of the castle. In ancient times, it is said that robbers lived on the Drachenfels.
