The Einhornhöhle is the largest accessible cave in the Western Harz Mountains. The spaces were formed in the dolomite rock as a result of gradual weathering over many thousands of years. The cave has a length of 610 m, for visitors a guided tour of a section of about 270 m. Along the way, one enters large halls, as the rooms are called. The cave is accessible through a tunnel built in 1905.
