The Rotbach is a 39.1 km long southwestern and left orographic tributary of the Erft in the districts of Euskirchen and Rhein-Erft in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Rotbach rises as the Nöthener Siefen in the Eifel and flows through the Rhineland. Its source is located on the southeastern edge of the Kermeter, a northern part of the Eifel, between Kall-Wallenthal in the southeast and Mechernich-Voißel in the north, two villages through which the stream does not flow. Below or northeast of Voißel, the water that flows to Mechernich-Glehn is also called Schliebach and Glehn in Mechernich-Eicks, it is called Mühlenbach or Bruchbach.
