The Gemeinnützige Wohnungsgenossenschaft Neuss, GWG Neuss for short, is a building cooperative in Neuss. It is the largest private housing provider in Neuss. It owns 3,400 apartments in Neuss and Kaarst and has 21 employees.
The GWG was founded on 5 July 1901 as the Neuss Workers' Housing Cooperative. During the Third Reich, a merger with other Neuss cooperatives took place in 1942. Their housing stocks include, for example, the group of houses Weberstraße 6–20, Körnerstraße 21–35 and Schillerstraße 54–74 from the years 1925 to 1930. In 1990, it founded GWG – Gesellschaft für Wohnungs- und Gewerbe-Bau GmbH as a 100 percent subsidiary. Since 2013, it has had its administration on the Neuer Markt in Neuss.
