The Volksbank Rhein-Erft-Köln eG is a cooperative bank and has its headquarters in Hürth. The bank's business area includes the cities of Brühl, Dormagen, Erftstadt, Euskirchen, Hürth, Frechen, Kerpen, Pulheim, Wesseling, Cologne, and the municipalities of Nörvenich, Weilerswist, and Swisttal.
The history of Volksbank Rhein-Erft-Köln eG, formerly Raiffeisenbank Frechen-Hürth eG, dates back to 1880. The roots of the bank were in Gleuel, Urbach, and Worringen. Over the years, Raiffeisen banks and savings and loan associations were established in more and more locations, which eventually merged into larger units, most recently in October 2019.
