Bourheim Castle is a former water castle in Bourheim, a district of Jülich, in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Düren. It is protected as a building and archaeological monument. The facility is privately owned, inhabited, and not open to the public.
As early as a property directory of Aemilius von Owe from 1234, a farm at "Burnheim" was mentioned. This manor was an unfortified, agriculturally used facility that was only later protected by strong walls against attackers. It was evidently a fief of the Archbishopric of Cologne, as Heinrich von Bourheim fought in the Battle of Worringen in 1288 on the side of Archbishop Siegfried von Westerburg of Cologne.
