Mellin was a suburb and a colony within the boundaries of the municipality of Friedrichswalde in the district of Barnim). It was located about 1.7 km east-southeast of the present-day village of Parlow on the north shore of the now silted up Mellinsee. The Vorwerk Mellin was founded in 1722/23 from the fence setting station of Michel Kleinfeld at the Great Game Fence through the Schorfheide. In 1768, a colony with 8 families from Mecklenburg was established here. In 1880, the village was demolished and the Feldmark was united with Parlow.
Mellin was located about 1.7 km east-southeast of the present-day village of Parlow on the north shore of the now silted up Mellinsee on the connecting road from Parlow to Glambeck. The "colony" was located west of the Vorwerk.
