Neuenhagen Island[1][2] is a German island in the Oder River that administratively belongs to the state of Brandenburg, near the border with neighboring Poland, it has an area of 60 square kilometers with a length of 12.6 km, a width of 6.4 km and a maximum altitude of 90.9 meters. The name "Neuenhagen Island" is derived from the main city in its territory, originally being a peninsula, but between 1747 and 1753 a canal was built that transformed it into an island.
