Gröditz, Sorbian, is a locality in the eastern part of the Bautzen district in Upper Saxony and has been part of the town of Weißenberg since 1994. The locality is located on the edge of the Upper Lusatian heath, a fertile and hilly area between the plateau and the lowland.
Gröditz is situated about 15 kilometers east of the major district town of Bautzen at the northern edge of the Upper Lusatian heath, where it transitions into the lowland. Due to its exposed location at about 200 m above sea level, the locality and especially its church tower are already visible from a distance. Southeast of the locality runs the Löbauer Water, which has carved out a breakthrough valley here, known as the Gröditz Scale.
