The large residential complex Waldsassener Straße is a high-rise settlement in Berlin-Marienfelde. It is primarily accessed via Waldsassener Straße and Tirschenreuther Ring. The settlement was built between 1970 and 1974. It comprises 4,200 apartments. The largest building has 27 floors. The urban planning concept was created by Hans Bandel. The majority of the estate is in the hands of Degewo AG, which intends to spend over 100 million euros on renovations between 2011 and 2016. Degewo AG owns nearly 3,000 apartments on Waldsassener Straße.
