The Bear Lock is a small lock on the Issel and is located in the area of the Wesel district of Lackhausen.
The Bear Lock is situated on the eastern edge of the city area of Wesel, in close proximity to the city borders of Hamminkeln and Hünxe. The nearest localities are Lackhausen and Obrighoven. The facility is located between Wurmflakstraße and An der Issel, the latter of which ends just under a kilometer northwest at Federal Highway 70. The Issel approaches the Bear Lock from the northeast and bends there almost at a 90° angle to continue flowing in a northwestern direction. Coming from the east, the drainage ditch of the Drevenacker Landwehr flows into the Issel at this point.
