The Amanda Mill is a windmill in Kappeln on the Schlei. At 32 meters, it is the tallest windmill in Schleswig-Holstein. Next to the mill is a sawmill, which is now operated as a "working museum" by the Kappeln workshops.
After the old mill burned down, the new mill was built in 1888 for 80,000 gold marks. In 1898, it was purchased by the Hadenfeldt family, the milling operation was discontinued in 1964, and the venti-vanes were dismantled. In 1976, the city of Kappeln bought the mill and renovated it in 1977. It was also listed as a historical monument in 1976. Since 1990, it has been registered as a cultural monument. In 2007, the upper octagonal mill tower was extensively cleaned.
