The Lilienstein Castle is the ruin of a high castle on the 415-meter-high Lilienstein near the district Waltersdorf of the town Bad Schandau in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains in Saxony.
It was probably established around 1200 in the northwestern part of the summit plateau and was in Bohemian possession. The first mention occurred in 1379 as "Ylgenstein" in a pawn document from King Wenzel IV. The name is likely derived from Saint Aegidius. A document from 1397 refers to the "veste Lilgenstein".
