Vetschau is a hamlet in the municipality of Aachen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the Laurensberg district and has about 100 houses. It is located not far from the Dutch border at the Vetschau border crossing on the German A4 and the Dutch A76 respectively.
Vetschau is a typical ribbon village with many old farms that arose along a medieval connecting road between Aachen and Heerlen, where it crossed the road to Bocholtz. It is located in the rural, western part of Aachen, in the lowlands at the foot of the Vetschauer Berg. It is located about one kilometer northwest of Laurensberg and although it is formally counted as part of this district, it borders directly on Richterich to the east. The Amstelbach has its source in the vicinity of Vetschau.
