The district of Illertissen was, until its dissolution in 1972, a district in the Bavarian administrative region of Swabia. The administrative seat of the district was Illertissen, which was granted city status in 1954. At the time of its dissolution, the district comprised 42 municipalities. The district of Illertissen did not have a coat of arms.
The district of Illertissen was located in the western part of the Bavarian administrative region of Swabia, on the border with Baden-Württemberg, approximately in the middle between Ulm/Neu-Ulm and Memmingen.
