The Templin Lock, also known as the Templin City Lock, is located at kilometer 13.32 of the Templin Waters, in the extreme southwest of the Uckermark district in the Temple Town, north of Brandenburg. It was built in 1894/95 and modernized in 2004/2005. The Oder-Havel Waterways and Shipping Authority is responsible.
It was from 1745 that the first global economic development of the waters of the Templin took place. The waters of Templin consist of the Templin Canal, also known in the region as Templin Water, and several lakes. The waterway is accessible via the Upper Havel Waterway.
