The Villa Maurer is a listed building in Potsdam. The villa is located in the Nauener suburb, Puschkinallee 6.
The villa at the then Capellenbergstraße 6 was built in 1890/91 for master carpenter Ernst Maurer. The builder is unknown. “The master carpenter […] was responsible,” but whether “[…] Maurer designed the building himself remains open to question.” In 1891, he also submitted a building application for a stable building with a coach house and coachman's apartment. Maurer did not reside in the villa himself but rented it out. Among the residents were, among others, the cavalry general Emil von Albedyll and the retired cavalry general Adolf von Bülow.
