Graph path (Da 5)

The hike starts at the northern outskirts of Dassel and leads along the Rothenberg into the dense forest. Via small paths, it goes up to the ridge path and the ruins of Hunnesrück Castle. Here, almost the highest point of the hike is reached. Now it goes up through natural mixed forests to the ridge of the Amtsberge. Then the path leads along the ridge path for some time until it turns into a gravel path, which leads back down the mountain. The dense forests open up again and offer wide views into the meadow valleys.
Continuing towards Hunnesrück, passing by the historic water mill and the Hunnesrück stallion breeding farm. Just a few meters from Hunnesrück lies Erichsburg with its eponymous castle complex.
On the last stretch, a short piece leads through a dark beech forest, passing by horse pastures back to the starting point in Dassel.
