The Bracons tunnel is a tunnel on the C-37 road located in the Vall d'en Bas. It is 4,556 meters long. Its construction allowed for a faster connection between Garrotxa and Osona; previously, one had to pass through the high Bracons pass. About 18,400 vehicles pass through daily.
The works began in 2003 on the section from Torelló to the south portal of the Bracons tunnel. The DPTOP introduced improvements to the project that required a new processing for the section between the north portal of this tunnel and the C-63. In December 2005, work began at the north portal, and in March 2007, work on the remaining section started. It was expected that this entire section, with a total length of 19 kilometers, would be put into service by the end of 2008, but it ultimately came into service in March 2009. It involved a total investment of 250 million euros.
