The Caro UEC Pepito Anguera Refuge, built in 1965 and recently renovated, is a guarded mountain hut located on the northern slope of Mont Caro, away from the road, in the Mascar plain, within the municipality of Alfara de Carles and inside the Ports Natural Park. It is owned by the Excursionist Union of Catalonia. A meeting point for hikers, from where the most emblematic crossings of the massif start or end.
