Il Rifugio Caro UEC Pepito Anguera costruito nel 1965 e recentemente ristrutturato, è un rifugio custodito di media montagna, situato sul versante nord del monte Caro lontano dalla strada, nel piano del Mascar, nel comune di Alfara de Carles e all'interno del Parco Naturale dei Ports. È di proprietà della Unione Escursionista della Catalogna. Punto di incontro degli escursionisti, da dove si concludono o iniziano le traversate più emblematiche del massiccio.
