El Refugio Caro UEC Pepito Anguera construido en 1965 y recientemente reformado, es un refugio guardado de media montaña, situado en la vertiente norte del monte Caro, apartado de la carretera, en el plano del Mascar, en el término de Alfara de Carles y dentro del Parque Natural de los Puertos. Es propiedad de la Unión Excursionista de Cataluña. Punto de encuentro de los excursionistas, desde donde finalizan o comienzan las travesías más emblemáticas del macizo.
