The Gresolet Baga Forest or Gresolet Forest is part of one of the sub-basins of the Campllong river within a valley oriented from east to west and named after it. This valley is bounded to the north by the Muralla de les Balmes, which belongs to the Cadí, to the southwest by the northern slope of Carrilet, and to the southeast by the western tip of the Solivella mountain range. The forest is distributed over an altitude range that goes, approximately, from 1,000 m at the bottom of the valley to just over 2,000 m at the highest points. This area is a climatic transition zone and is characterized by a continental climate with Mediterranean influence, which brings rainfall and moderates temperatures.
