Description

This sculpture by Francisco Buiza is a perfect representation of cigarettes and the working woman of the time.

The cigar makers represent a specific group of women dedicated to the processing of tobacco , particularly in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

This profession, now disappeared, was of particular importance in Andalusia, especially in the city of Seville, due to the large number of women who worked there at the time, although it was also important, albeit to a lesser extent, in the city of Cádiz.
