Standing in front of the consuls? hotel for more than 700 years, the church of Saint Pierre gives Gourdon its characteristic profile and gives the impression of a fortress in the distance. Its facade flanked by 2 bell-towers was completed during the wars of religion by machicolations.the choir is decorated with a baroque ensemble of the XVIIth century composed of paintings, painted and sculpted wood work of Tournié, sculptors of Gourdonnais whose fame radiated well beyond the city.
