Located on the heights of Passy, the House of Balzac is the only remaining Parisian residence of the novelist. Balzac moved there from 1840 to 1847 to escape his creditors. It was behind these walls that the writer corrected La Comédie humaine and wrote La Cousine Bette. The house is full of treasures: the study, the library, objects and original manuscripts that belonged to the playwright... One of the rooms is dedicated to his great love, Madame Hanska.
