Nestled in the heart of the village of Coarraze in Béarn, this castle is listed as a Private Historic Monument. Château of the barons of Coarraze and the Albret Miossens family, it is here that Henry IV, King of the Béarn, spent his childhood. The current building dates back from 1755 and was built in an Italian style after the original castle was ravaged by two fires in 1508 and 1684. Partial tour, outside and inside, from mid-July to mid-August: park, landscaped garden, castle, 14th century tower.
