Located on the battlefield of Verdun, the Chattancourt Trench is a unique place. Reconstructed close to where the trenches of Toulouse and Chattancourt crossed in 1916, this place allows the visitor to immerse himself in the skin of the Poilu.
Each part of the trench has been precisely made thanks to instruction manuals, period photos and soldiers' testimonies.
All along the route - 100 metres of trench and shelters - the visitor can project himself into the shoes of a soldier thanks to the numerous explanations and objects on display. A path that allows visitors to understand trench warfare.
