At the beginning of the war 1914 - 1918, the seminary of Larressore becomes military auxiliary hospital n°216 and will be treated there the soldiers wounded on the front of the great war. 254 of them will die in Larressore and 131 will be buried on a ground yielded by the commune. A military square of 61 graves was created for those who died between 10 October 1914 and 10 October 1919. There are soldiers of different nationalities. Access to the cemetery is through a small gate that is permanently open.
