Father Armand David is a great French naturalist who cataloged thousands of animals and plants in China. For the Chinese, he is the father of the panda. Originally from Espelette, the municipality has just developed a young arboretum where only trees from China, bearing the names "davidii," "davidiana," or "davidia," are planted. A lovely walk to take around the castle of Espelette.
