Dating from the 16th century, it is the most remarkable surviving building of the Renaissance period that we find in the Historical Center of the city.
This old mansion was rebuilt from 1578 to 1594, of which the 15th century cellars of the original building remain, by a rich grain merchant named Jean Mengin de Houdreville.
The staircase as well as the main facade of the hotel are richly decorated: interlacing, fruit baskets, plant decoration, pilasters..
