Two versions are available for gourmets: savoury and sweet. From the dry bean to the delicious crunchy candy, chocolate-nougatine puff pastry, to the creamy bean that gives a melt-in-your-mouth texture to all cakes, you?ll love them. A true delight. The legend is recounted here. At the end of the 19th century, the watchman of Soissons Cathedral, named Le Paon, never left the top of the tower. He kept an eye on the city and the fires, while practicing his trade as a shoemaker. To brighten up his stone platform, he started planting beans, which he produced in large quantities, enabling him to offer tourists little bean bags.
The garden is currently being restored, and will reopen in June 2025.
