Per i buongustai esistono due versioni: salata e dolce. Dal fagiolo secco alla deliziosa sfoglia croccante al cioccolato e torrone, fino alla crema di fagioli che fa sciogliere in bocca tutti i dolci. Una vera delizia. La leggenda è raccontata qui. Alla fine del XIX secolo, il guardiano della cattedrale di Soissons, chiamato Le Paon, non lasciava mai la cima della torre. Teneva d'occhio la città e gli incendi mentre lavorava come calzolaio. Per rallegrare la sua piattaforma di pietra, iniziò a piantare fagioli, che produsse in grandi quantità, permettendogli di offrire ai turisti dei piccoli sacchi di fagioli.
Il giardino è attualmente in fase di restauro e sarà riaperto nel giugno 2025.
