The choir, a novel of the church, dates from the 11th or 12th century. It probably replaced an older place of worship carved into the rock. The nave and the cemetery were redesigned in 1888 (construction of a belfry with a gallery). The altarpiece is listed in the inventory of historical monuments; it comes from the now-disappeared Abbey of Fongauffier. In the 17th century, this work of art is dedicated to Saint Benedict and his sister, Saint Scholastica.
