Although it looks like a basic recreation area, Lake Groléjac, outside of the holiday periods, can reveal some nice surprises. The low spring water levels reveal mudflats where you can meet knights, sandpipers and gravel plovers, as well as great egrets and various herons. The Mouline flows into the tail of the lake, forming a small wooded marsh where an interpretive trail on stilts has been set up to discover it. Water rails, marsh snipe, alder siskin, star bittern, can be found there, especially in winter. In spring, it is a concert of nightingales, jostles and orioles, while the hobby falcon is active above.
