In Sauvelade a small Béarnais village on the Puy pilgrim route to Compostella. This bistro is close to the cistercian abbey.
Jeff and Lili have opened this small bistro in a traditional Béarnais building offering overnight accommodation, gite d'étape. The food is home-made and regional: mushroom omelettes in season, garden produce, tapas, cold meats, local cheeses and salads. For pilgrims who are in a hurry to get back on the road there is a "fast" menu with a snack which you can eat in or take away. All produce is organic, locally grown or from equitable commerce and the fruit juices are made with fruit straight from the orchard.
