When you arrive in Hettange-Grande, the church of Saint Etienne built on a rock overlooks the village and invites you to discover it. Built on the remains of a medieval castle of which only a well and a tower remain, this church will not fail to whet your curiosity with its bell tower which does not follow the general orientation of the church and therefore gives it an astonishing appearance. It contains the stained glass windows by Jean Barillet made in a figurative but stylized style. At its feet flows the Kissel, a stream that winds its way through the town.
